Indeed, as reported by CNN, the 56-year-old had forgotten that they were already married. “It’s heartbreaking,” Lisa told CNN. “We made new memories, but it hurts because I always want to say ‘Do you remember that time?’ I want to remember with him, but Peter doesn’t remember anything now, let alone what happened 20 years ago “, she says.
Lisa also explains that her husband had already forgotten who his wife was before. It was during that evening in December that he said to her: “Let’s do it. Let’s get married”, with a big smile. “It was so touching for me. He fell in love with me twice. I feel honored. I am the luckiest girl in the world,” says Lisa.
On the advice of relatives, the latter decided to accept the proposal of her husband and Peter and Lisa therefore said “yes” a second time. “During the vows, he just said, ‘Lisa, I love you.’ And that’s all I needed, ”she says.
