Tragic New Year’s Eve in Ascoli Piceno. A 26-year-old boy who died following a fall in Colle San Marco. According to a first reconstruction, at the stroke of midnight, after the launch of some fireworks that had triggered a fire in the brushwood, the young man tried to intervene to avoid the spread of the flames but fell, falling for at least fifty meters in an impervious area. The people who were with him immediately raised the alarm and the 118 firefighters and health workers rushed to the scene and, after having reached him with difficulty, they long tried to revive him, without success. The boy was in fact in cardiac arrest. Around 1:50 the death was declared.

Naples: 48 injured, three minors
48 people were injured in Naples and its province (last year there were 37), including three minors. None of the injured are in serious condition. Several people with injuries from fire blasts arrived at the Pozzuoli hospital: a 65-year-old suffered a slight laceration to his left hand in his home in Giugliano (10-day prognosis); a 67-year-old boy had a graze on the face in Bacoli’s home (he will heal in 7 days); 7 days of prognosis also for a 24 year old for an excoriation caused by a firecracker exploded before launch; for a 43 year old from Giugliano similar prognosis, the hand injured the right. In the Fuorigrotta neighborhood two people were hit in the back by a rocket; very slight bruises. Another person was injured in the leg by a close firecracker burst (will heal in 2 days).

Bari, lose an eye
New Year’s barrels cost an eye injury to a young man from Canosa di Puglia, who was injured by the explosion of a firecracker. Venice: shoot barrels in San Marco square. stopped
A man was arrested and identified by the police in Piazza San Marco in Venice after having launched some big barrels in the audience, while the fireworks display was going on in the lagoon, to celebrate the new year. In San Marco there were about 29 thousand people and the fires, starting from the center of the square – where there is an absolute ban on carrying pyrotechnic material -, created disorientation and apprehension among the people. The man, probably a tourist, was immediately identified and blocked by police officers. The street paper from the city will be issued to him.

Milan
In Limbiate, in the province of Milan, a 24 year old reported the amputation of the fingers of one hand while several fireworks were exploding in the parking lot of a swimming pool. The young man had made a firework display with hundreds of fires, at the time of the accident he had exploded just over half. The other large quantity was recovered and confiscated by the police.
