A few days ago, we reported on upcoming personnel changes in the Volkswagen concern. Now they are officially announced, but not all information has been confirmed. Then it was assumed that the head of the Volkswagen brand instead of Herbert Diess would be the current Porsche CEO Oliver Blume. Diss will indeed leave the post of head of the Volkswagen brand, although he will remain at the helm of the concern of the same name, but his current successor will be Ralph Brandstetter, chief operating officer (pictured), who will take office on July 1.

Brandstätter came to Volkswagen in 1993, worked for about ten years in a sister company Seat, and he has been working as chief operating officer for two years. For many years he was engaged in the procurement of components and led projects to develop new machines. According to Herbert Diess, Brandstetter played a key role in the transformation of the Volkswagen brand and a lot of work awaits him in the coming years: at the end of May, the company announced its plans to sell 1.5 million electric cars annually in the Chinese market.
