Frankfurt – The Main metropolis is one of the leading economic centers in Germany. According to a new study by the information network “Die Deutsche Wirtschaft”, Frankfurt is in fourth place in Germany. Data from the 22,500 most important German companies and 1,600 financial institutions in 3,802 locations nationwide were used for this.
► In the overall ranking, Mainhattan missed the podium with a grade of 2.29 and a value of 1762.41, ending up in 4th place – behind Hamburg, Munich and Berlin. Hamburg boasts 1012 top companies, while Frankfurt has 419.
► In the “Most investors” category, Frankfurt is second (223) – behind Munich (253).
► Frankfurt does not even make the top ten in the category of cities with the most companies in future markets. Wiesbaden and Mannheim even made it to 10th place.
► Frankfurt is also not in the top ten for “Family Businesses” and in the category “Youngest Top Companies”. Liederbach am Taunus, on the other hand, did – in 4th place!
► Frankfurt is in the top ten for foreign-owned companies (330, 4th place), investor-owned companies (27, 5th place), cities with world market leaders (9th, 8th place), level with Darmstadt and among the top medium-sized companies -Companies (61st, 10th place).
