The new SUV, which will offer the Modern Solid styling elements for the first time, will be presented this week.
Today, the Mladoboleslav automobile company published a short video, which is a trailer for the presentation of the second generation of the popular Škoda Kodiaq SUV. The video reveals the interior and exterior design changes and reveals details for the premiere, which will take place this week.
In the video we can see, for example, the new Škoda inscription on the fifth door, which corresponds to the brand’s new corporate identity. The video also reveals the shaping of the front and rear lights, which are evidently split vertically, and hints at possible radiator grille backlighting.
In addition, as the brand notes in the press release, the new Kodiaq will be the first production model with elements of the new Modern Solid design language, which should be presented in its full glory especially with the new Škoda electric cars.
In the next part of the video, there are shots from the cabin, which the automaker has already revealed in the past. We thus see a trio of smart controllers with integrated Smart Dials displays, an interface with a pair of displays, the gear selector moved to the steering column, newly shaped handles and stylish ambient lighting.
In the past, the carmaker also revealed a range of power units, which will not lack petrol or diesel engines, mild-hybrid or plug-in hybrid. All engines will be connected exclusively to automatic transmissions, but some engines will also offer all-wheel drive. For the plug-in hybrid, the brand promises an electric range of over 100 kilometers.
The ceremonial premiere of the car will take place on Wednesday, October 4 from 6:45 p.m and will be broadcast live via YouTube and the Škoda Storyboard platform.
