We already know that Safari Zone Philadelphia will be held from 8 to 10 May. We just didn’t know what the theme would be, which Pokémon would spawn more and of course what other extras there were. Niantic announced yesterday what we can all expect and although this is in North America and few Dutch people will go there, there are some interesting things that are also important to us:
- Voltorb can be shiny for the first time
- Rufflet (not yet in the game, but available to everyone for Safari Zone)
- Other spawns are Alolan Sandshrew, Unown P, Bronzor and more
- Mr. Mime is the regional during the event
Visitors to Safari Zone Philadelphia can also purchase a City Explorer Pass. This allows them to benefit from the following benefits on the days of the event in the rest of the city:
- Incense takes an hour
- Eggs hatch twice as fast
- Exclusive Field Researches are available
- Lure Modules last four hours when they are installed by someone with a City Explorer Pass
- Ten special raids can be found throughout the city
For the first time, more is known about which Pokémon can be found in these raids:
- Articuno
- Zapdos
- Moltres
- Braviary (evolution of Rufflet)
- The Legendary Pokémon then present
- The EX Raid Pokémon then present
- The remaining four raids are level one, level two, level three and level four raid
As you can see, this Safari Zone Philadelphia announcement provides more information for everyone, with the most important revelation being that Shiny Voltorb is coming to the game!
