[モスクワ ４日 ロイター] – A new photo has been released that appears to show General Sergei Slovikin, who has not been seen in public since troops of the Russian private military company Wagner staged an armed mutiny in June.
Famous Russian TV presenter Ksenia Sapchak posted on Telegram a photo of a man in sunglasses and a hat walking alongside a woman who looks like Slovikin’s wife. “General Slovikin is out, healthy and at his home in Moscow with his family. The photo was taken today,” he added.
Reuters was unable to confirm the authenticity of the photo.
“General Slovikhin is at home with his family. He did not provide a photo of the general.
After the demise of the Wagner Rebellion in June, various media outlets reported that Slovikin was disliked by the government and was being investigated for possible collusion. The state-run Russian news agency RIA reported last month that he was dismissed as commander-in-chief of the Aerospace Forces and that the chief of staff of the military, General Afzarov, was named acting commander-in-chief.
