New extensions at C’Chartres Métropole Handball

The name of the successor to head coach Toni Gerona, not renewed, is not yet known. But the workforce and the staff of C’Chartres Métropole Handball (Starligue) version 2023-2024 continue to take shape.

A month after the extensions of Adrian Figueras, Matic Groselj, Yanis Busselier and Svetlin Dimitrov, it is those of Gaël Tribillon and Sergiy Onufriyenko that the Eurelian club formalized, this Monday, January 23.

The 24-year-old left winger has signed a new two-year contract with CCMHB. The Ukrainian right-back, still performing at nearly 38, has agreed with his leaders on an additional season.

In total, thirteen of the sixteen pros in the current squad are already guaranteed to wear the Chartres jersey in 2023-2024. Only the departures of goalkeeper Julien Meyer (Schaffhausen, Swiss D1) and Morten Vium (Skjern, Danish D1) have been recorded, while second goalkeeper Nebojsa Grahovac could stay at the club in a new role, according to our information.

Until 2026

On the staff side, physical trainer Amor Khedira will remain in Chartres, like assistant coach Nebojsa Stojinovic, still under contract. The Tunisian is committed to a long lease with the CCMHB, until 2026. “I like it here in this club and this city,” said the technician.

It remains to be seen which main coach will sit on the bench…
