Zelensky announced new high-profile layoffs in government and hinted at who it concerns

Zelensky hinted at a scandal with purchases at the Ministry of Defense.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on his dismissal Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Lozinsky. He also announced new high-profile layoffs among officials.

He said this on January 22 during an appeal to the Ukrainians.

“The first and most important thing I want to talk about today is justice. Justice, which, by the way, is one of the foundations of conciliarity. In a society that feels justice, the unification of people is always stronger. Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed a deputy minister who was exposed by NABU employees “Law enforcement officers have every opportunity to conduct an investigation and send this proceeding to court. And I want this to be our signal to everyone whose actions or behavior violate the principle of justice,” the president said.

Zelensky also noted that new decisions had already been prepared against some officials suspected of corruption scandals.

“Of course, now the focus is on the issue of defense, this is the issue of foreign policy, this is the issue of war.
But this does not mean that I do not see and do not hear what is said in society at different levels – both in the central and in the regions. And this week will be the time for appropriate decisions. These solutions have already been prepared. I do not want to announce them now, but it will all be fair. I understand what attracted people’s attention. In each situation, we will analyze everything in detail. As for energy and procurement. As for the relationship between the central government and the regions. As for purchases for the military. The like. The society will receive full information, and the state will take the necessary powerful steps,” the president explained.

Volodymyr Zelensky also announced new sanctions against persons carrying out their activities against Ukraine.

“Besides this, our special services are moving forward in their work against people who deserve at least sanctions for their activities against Ukraine, independence and the Ukrainian people. There will also be appropriate steps. And this is not something temporary, this is a real response. specifics. This is what we all expect from our institutions, from the state. I want it to be clear: a return to what it once was, to the way different people used to live, close to state institutions, or those who put their whole life in pursuit of a chair… There will be no return. Thanks to law enforcement officers who protect the law, the interests of the state, ensure justice! Thanks to journalists who deal with all the facts and establish a complete picture! We all must – each his own – do for our unity. The strength of society and the strength of the state are united precisely by justice,” the president said.

Recall, Deputy Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Vasily Lozinsky was detained for suspicion of embezzlement of public funds. Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov ordered to prepare documents on the dismissal of Lozinsky.

Earlier media also reported that Ministry of Defense buys food for the military at prices significantly higher than in retail chains in Kyiv, with reference to the agreement of the defense department on the purchase of products.
