Residents of old people’s and nursing homes will be able to receive more visitors from Monday (March 29th). The previous limitation to two permanent persons has been lifted with the new state ordinance.
The state government has one new version of the so-called Corona Control Ordinance decided. It is valid from March 29th to April 11th. The previous measures will largely be continued. However, among other things, easing in nursing homes is planned.
Common rooms in homes may be used
As of Monday (March 29th), the limitation to two visitors in nursing homes no longer applies. In addition, the common rooms can then be used again for group activities and community events, since the vaccination campaign in the homes has been completed.
There is no obligation to test if the vaccination was two weeks ago
Visitors who demonstrably have adequate vaccination protection are also exempt from the general obligation to test. Specifically, according to the state ordinance, this means that the last required vaccination of the visitor must be at least two weeks ago.
Health authorities are allowed to open swimming pools for children’s courses
Health authorities have the option of reopening swimming pools for group swimming courses for children up to 14 years of age. Beach chairs can also be rented out again.
New version of the quarantine regulation decided
The state government has also decided to revise the quarantine regulation: Anyone who has been in a risk or high-incidence area in the ten days before entering Schleswig-Holstein must be in quarantine for ten days. Those who come from a virus variant area must continue to isolate themselves for 14 days. Cross-border commuters are not affected, nor are people who go into what is known as work quarantine under certain conditions.
Lockdown has been extended
The new regulation also says that the lockdown, as announced, will be extended until April 11th. The existing restrictions for leisure, culture, tourism and gastronomy largely continue to apply.
