A slaughterhouse located in Les Herbiers, belonging to the SCABEV group has decided to temporarily suspend its activities. In this Vendée company with 55 employees, eight people tested positive for Covid-19 according to the Regional Health Agency (ARS). On May 20, it launched a screening campaign in this slaughterhouse where three employees initially tested positive for the coronavirus.
“This is a grouping of cases: at this stage, no chain of transmission has been established in the company and an epidemiological investigation is underway”, specifies the ARS. The identification of possible contact cases started on May 18. Anyone considered as such “subject contact at risk” will also be tested and asked to isolate themselves pending results.
