Good and bad news for fans of Cobra Kai. Netflix just announced that there will be a new season of the series. But that season will also be the last. In a long letter, the makers thank the fans for the trust and the adventure. It is not known when the sixth and final season will be shown.

Cobra Kai
Cobra Kai has been around since 2018 and in 2020 the series moved to Netflix. Since then it has grown into a popular series with both young people and adults. The series is one of a kind The Karate Kidreboot, which also features characters from the original film. These include Johnny Lawrence (Zabka), Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) in John Creese (Martin Kove).
The fifth season was shown in September 2022. That ended, after a fight in the Cobra Kai dojo, remarkably positively. The big enemy of the season, Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), was apprehended by the police and the two dojos finally seemed to be able to work together peacefully. But there was one big cliffhanger. The great Cobra Kai leader John Creese (Martin Cove) turns out not to be dead at all.
Season 6
We will soon see how that will turn out in a new season of Cobra Kai. But we will also suddenly have to say goodbye to The Valley and the various dojos. Netflix announces this via a throwback video. The fans are already relieved, because the announcement was delayed for four months.
The creators of the series have thanked the public for their trust in an open letter. “We always wanted to finish this series in our own way. It is therefore with pride that we can tell you that this story will conclude with a sixth and final season. “This fandom is truly the best thing that has ever happened to us. We can’t wait to tell you more Karate Kid stories. Because as you all know: Cobra Kai never dies.”
With that last sentence, the makers seem to be hinting at possible new spin-offs. When the sixth season of Cobra Kai will appear is not yet known.
