Netflix streaming service and drama producer Fiction Valley announced the first Dutch Netflix Original film on Friday. Shady El-Hamus and Jeroen Scholten van Aschat are responsible for the script.
The as-yet untitled film about the theft of the watch of an upcoming hip-hop artist becomes a comic crime drama. Nothing is known about the cast and release date.
El-Hamus, known for the drama films The Libi and Nightshade, will direct the film. “The confidence that we get from Netflix is very motivating. A dream come true,” said the director.
In front of The Libi El-Hamus and Scholten van Aschat received a Golden Calf in 2019 for the best scenario.
Fiction Valley was responsible for the crime series, among others Mocro Mafia.
