Rodney and Marcella demand that Ahmed do away with his dog Zéna. Ahmed disagrees and demands that he be left alone.
According to Rodney and Marcella, the dog makes too much noise. “I can’t sleep because of it,” says an irritated Rodney. He then turned to Ahmed. “I am completely done with that fucking dog of yours, and with you too,” he says immediately. “I’m tired of it. We can’t function normally here anymore,” Rodney frowns.

The dog is very important to Ahmed, given its visual impairment. The dog helps him do the daily things. “I see her as my child, my daughter. She gives me love.” Rodney and Marcella complain that Ahmed constantly leaves his dog in the yard alone. Also at night. Moreover, the dog would always bark. “She does not bark. Occasionally maybe against a bird, not further. But if Feyenoord plays, then it does.”
After serious exchanges of views, the two parties end up facing each other during the hearing. Another neighbor then chooses Rodney and Marcella. “The whole problem would not have been if you just let your dog in at ten,” she tells Ahmed. But Ahmed explains that his dog is not allowed in because of his faith. The expert who has measured how often the dog has barked recently indicates that the dog is barking a bit much.

Finally Mr. Frank Visser his statement. And that is bad news for Ahmed. His dog has to leave. So he loses the case. He is very upset about that. “I am very sorry,” he says. A poor consolation for him. Presenter Viktor Brand promises him that the editors of the program will help him find a suitable place for Zéna.
