The IAEA has started negotiations with Ukraine and the Russian Federation on the parameters of the safety zone around the ZNPP. This was stated by the managing director of the organization Rafael Grossi, in shape A Web TV.
“The IAEA has entered into negotiations with Ukraine and Russia on the parameters of the safety zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant,” said Grossi.
According to him, we are already talking about specific aspects of the safety zone parameters. Grossi assured that the creation of such a zone would help stop the bombing of nuclear power plants and provide the plant with uninterrupted access to the external energy needed to cool the reactor and other systems.
Recall that the Russian troops on the night of September 21 once again bombed the Zaporozhye nuclear power plantdamaging the communication equipment of one of the power units.
