Ndombele reveals that Pogba talks about difficulties with life under Mourinho – EzAnime.net

Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has admitted to having a conversation with his compatriot Paul Pogba about the problems that can arise when working with José Mourinho.

After the removal of former chief Mauricio Pochettino, Mourinho took the reins. In the beginning, things were not going well for Ndombele.

Now speaking to Football London (via Sky Sports), Ndombele has revealed that he spoke to his French international teammate. Pogba – himself, a player who also experienced turbulence with Mourinho during his tenure at Old Trafford.

“We talked, we talked about it, but very quickly,” Ndombele explained. “It wasn’t like he gave me advice because our situations were completely different.

“It is true that he worked with Mourinho but my own experiences were not the same and each relationship has its own characteristics.”

Ndombele has reinvigorated his Tottenham career this season after revealing which psychological trick from Mourinho made a big impact. However, recent reports detailed how close he came to leaving amid personal turmoil with the club.

The player has now expanded more on the situation and admitted that he really “wanted to leave.”

Ndombele opens on aborted output

“To be perfectly honest with you, I don’t know how close I was to leaving,” he added. “What I know is that I wanted to leave. I spoke about this with the people of the club and particularly with the president. [Daniel Levy].

“The president said he didn’t want me to leave and that’s definitely something that really helped. The hardest moments are in the past and I have advanced and things are much better for me and for the team and everything is behind us.

“I really wouldn’t say that I made mistakes, or particular mistakes. I think everyone has to take their own responsibility for what happens in a season and there were things that happened at the club that people know about and things that happened at the club that people don’t know about.

“Now I can look back and see what were the aspects of my contribution that I needed to work on and the good thing now is that everything is going in the right direction for the team, for the club and for everyone and that is really satisfying.

“It has certainly made me stronger mentally. It made me and it improved me as an athlete, which happened last season, because I didn’t play much. It hurt me a lot, which I’m not used to and we were going through the pandemic and moments like this can only make you stronger ”.
