New Orleans and Zion Williamson in the rhythm
Operation reconquest started off perfectly for the New Orleans Pelicans. Forced to achieve an exceptional end of the season to have a chance to snag the last ticket for the play-offs, the Pelicans fulfilled their contract on the occasion of the resumption with a direct competitor, the Portland Trail Blazers (128-115 ). Deprived of Damian Lillard (touched down, he should miss 3 to 4 games), the latter especially struggled in defense where they were never able to permanently slow down the attack on New Orleans. When they returned to three small points in the middle of the third quarter (80-77, 29th), they cashed a scathing 22-6 which ended the suspense even before the start of the last period. Six Pelicans players scored thirteen or more points and Zion Williamson once again showed formidable efficiency with 25 points (10 of 17 shooting), four rebounds and three assists.
