The average delay in payments with which Navarre companies pay their bills is 10.56 days in the first quarter of 2022the lowest among the autonomous communities, according to the Study on Payment Behavior of Spanish Companies.
The study has been published by Informa D&Ba subsidiary company of Cesce, a leader in the supply of commercial, financial, sectoral and marketing information.
At the national level, payment data has improved in most of the autonomies for a year, except in Extremadura and Melillawith the highest decreases being those of Canary Islandswhich drops 3.90 days, and Balearic Islands (3.16).
By contrast, Melilla is again the one that pays the worst, 31.39 days late, although they are less than the 34.58 of the previous quarter, followed by Canary Islands (22.19 days); Ceuta (21.08) and Extremadura.
On the opposite side, two autonomies remain below 11 days: Navarrawhich is the autonomy with the least delay (10.56 days) and La Rioja (10.96)while Madrid is above the country average (16.88 days), while Catalonia is below (13,19).
The difference between the community with the worst and best behavior decreases from the previous quarter, when it was 24.04 days, to 20.83 in this one.
The average payment term in which Spanish companies make their invoices effective rises to 96.99 days in the first quarter of 2022.
This is the sixth consecutive quarter of increase, being half a day above the previous quarter and adding 2.86 in one year, being the highest since the third quarter of 2013.
