Another win for the Azzurri in the Italian league and Chwicza Kwaracchelia and Victor Osimhen scored again. The devastating duo helped defeat US Sassuolo 2-0. Piotr Zieliński was a substitute in this match.
Napoli played in Serie A on Friday to have more time to prepare for their return to the Champions League. The two-match with Eintracht Frankfurt is not to be a high obstacle for the Azzurri. However, they should be on their guard as the German club has accumulated cup experience in previous seasons. Napoli faced US Sassuolo in Reggio Emilia. It was another opponent of Lucian Spallette’s team from the lower half of the table.
Sassuolo started the spring round badly, which left them entangled in a relegation battle. Neroverdi, however, improved their results and are again trying to be a threat to the top calcio teams. They recently won against Milan, they challenged Napoli.
The leader started the match without Piotr Zieliński, and the place of the Pole in the eleven was taken by the well-disposed Eljif Elmas. The Azzurri found themselves in the opponent’s half from the start and it didn’t take long to gain the lead.

In the 12th minute, Chwicza Kwaracchelia accelerated in the opponent’s half. The Georgian grabbed the ball at the level of the center circle, then dealt with Maxim Lopez, Armand Lauriente and Martin Erlic. Chwiczy Kwaracchelia’s crazy rally ended with a flat 1-0 shot from near the penalty area line into the corner of Sassuolo’s goal.
Two minutes after the first goal, there was a chance to tie the game. Armand Lauriente surprised the Napoli players who had celebrated taking the lead for too long. The Frenchman showed off his rally into the Azzurri’s penalty area and finished it with a shot into the post. There was a second Sassuolo acceleration in the 20th minute, but Gregoire Defrel did not aim at the visitors’ goal.
There was a lot of space on the pitch, so in the 26th minute Victor Osimhen had room to run up and attack. The Napoli striker’s charge ended with a shot against the post. Victor Osimhen’s next charge in the 33rd minute made it 2-0. The top scorer of the Italian league surprised Andrea Consigli with a shot at the near post.
Coach Luciano Spalletti decided to see Piotr Zieliński in action. The Pole appeared on the pitch in the 58th minute instead of Matteo Politano. Zieliński distinguished himself with a foul for a yellow card, and in general, Napoli’s priority was to maintain a positive result until the final whistle of the referee.
