As of August 12 in Ukrainian markets the most expensive berry is blueberry. The second place in the ranking of the most popular berries is occupied by raspberries.

At the same time, LLC Dikanskiye Yagody (Poltava Region) expects that the price of raspberries this season will be 30% higher than in previous years.
“This year, as in the past, the price of raspberries is high. This is a normal market process that repeats every 3-5 years: at first the berries are very expensive, and then they are cheap,” said Sergey Stetsenko.

He adds that when the price is low, growers have less demand for growing raspberries, and then when there are fewer berries on the market, the price goes up again and everyone starts planting them again. And so in a circle.
According to the expert, more than 4 euros are expected for 1 kg of raspberries this year.

In June, local supermarkets were on sale in Ukraine. greenhouse blueberry and imported berries, the retail value of which reached 400-550 UAH / kg.
In the segment of packaged berries, mainly blueberries from the Netherlands were presented, the cost of which reached 600-700 UAH / kg.
