Mysterious Pair Caught on Camera Leaving NYC Apartment of Woman Found Dead in Closet: Authorities Searching for Answers

Two still unidentified people were captured on security camera images of an apartment in Manhattan few days before the body of a 52-year-old tenant was discovered inside a canvas bag in her closetthe authorities reported.

The pair were described as a dark-skinned man and woman, both in their 20s, who were filmed getting into the victim’s Lexus SUV. with New York plates and driving west on East 31st Street.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) identified the victim as Nadia Vitel52 years old, who officers found him unconscious inside his apartment from Kips Bay at 206 East 31st St. around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officials made the discovery during a welfare check at the request of his concerned relatives, who called police after not hearing from Vitel for approximately 48 years, sources explained.

While waiting for law enforcement officers, Vitel’s son, Michael Medvedev, entered the apartment along with the building’s superintendent to take a look.

When the son was about to leave the apartment, he looked inside the hall closet, where he observed a canvas bag on the ground with a coat on top. She removed the article of clothing and saw a foot sticking out of the bagsources indicated.

The authorities appeared and obtained a search warrant for the residence and the garbage area in the basement of the unit, where several bags containing Vitel’s belongings were found, reported New York Post.

The Forensic Medical Service arrived at the scene and decided to transport Vitel’s body in a canvas bag from the morgue for an autopsy.

According to sources, the woman was in the process of moving on Sunday. That day she was seen on security cameras entering and leaving her apartment several times. with your belongings before leaving the building after 11:00 in the morning.

By 2:00 in the afternoon That same day, the two people were seen in the lobby of the complex trying to enter the building.

About an hour later, Elevator cameras captured the couple entering Vitel’s apartment.

The woman was last seen entering her apartment on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. The individuals were last seen leaving the building around 5:45 p.m.

According to sources, An alarm was activated in Vitel’s truck when the two people fled the scene.

So far the reason is unknown and the cause of Vitel’s death has not been made public. Until Friday afternoon, NYPD had not officially begun a homicide investigation.
