MVV thought it was all over with Hüseyin Dogan, but still makes a mistake. The player came up with an “unreasonable, unusual and unacceptable demand” at the last minute.
According to MVV, the club and Dogan agreed on a contract for two seasons last Friday. Last weekend he came up with an additional requirement: a transfer-free departure in the winter. ‘MVV did not want to go along with that, so the switch is now failing. MVV is deeply disappointed in this approach. The club had been in talks with the attacker for weeks and was prepared to stick out financially to bring him in. For this, among other things, financial support from the donors of the supporters’ initiative Veer Zien MVV was used, because MVV was convinced that Dogan would be an added value for the club’, let MVV know.
Dogan was also medically examined by MVV. “What remained was the actual signing of the contract. At Dogan’s request, this was postponed to Monday, where the signing should have taken place in front of his business entourage and his father. After that there would be a press presentation, to which local and regional press had already been invited. However, the sudden demand to be able to leave on a free transfer during the winter break is now throwing a spanner in the works. With that, an agreement is no longer an option.’
And so MVV has to look for another attacker. Chances are it comes from Greece. MVV is hopeful of capturing AEK Athens’ Christos Giousis. Giousis already trained with MVV.
