Music for Animals: It could have been a simple nursery rhyme – Music for Animals

Next Thursday our colleague Alejo Stivel arrives ready to discover his favorite songs in a new installment of Music for Animals. This time it will include a song that a teacher asked a singer-songwriter for a song to sing with the boys. With his guitar in hand, it took him only ten minutes to compose it. This song was born under the military government where the social situation was very conflictive and in Argentina national rock emerged.

In his selection of songs for this new edition, Alejo has chosen a theme whose author has never made it clear who wrote; rumors include Warren Beatty, Kris Kristofferson, Cat Stevens, and Mick Jagger. As if that were not enough, the artist has Mick Jagger in second voices. Asked how she got Jagger to participate, she said: “I guess it was a kind of coincidence (…) Mick said to me:” Hey, what are you doing? “And I said:” We are doing some backing vocals in a song of mine .. Why don’t you come sing with us? So Mick and Harry and I stood around the mic singing, and Harry was a gentleman, he knew the chemistry was between me and Mick as far as singing, so he leaned in saying, ‘You two have good chemistry, you should. yourselves'”.

In addition, Alejo opens the trunk of memories and presents us with an Italian song by a young man who loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. According to what he told us, he discovered it as a child after his parents returned from a trip to Italy and gave him a couple of albums by artists from that country.
If you want to know which songs are chosen by Alejo Stivel, you just have to wait until dawn from Thursday to Friday, in a program full of good music and many stories.

Remember, at 00:00, a new installment of Music for Animals on RockFM.
