A member of the West Papua Police Mobile Brigade who served in Sorong, Brigadier Yones Fernando Siahaan, was found dead with the initial suspicion that he had hanged himself in 2018. After investigating, it turned out that the victim was killed by his wife, who was caught having an affair.
Reported detikSulsel, the case of the murder of Brigadier Yones is contained in the public prosecutor’s indictment on the Case Tracing Information System (SIPP) of the Sorong District Court. Sitting as defendants in this case were the victim’s wife, Ardilla Rahayu Pongoh alias Dila, and her uncle, Andi Abdullah Pongoh.
Brigadier Yones was initially found dead on Jalan Sorong Makbon, Bambu Kuning Housing, Giwu Village, Sorong City, on Wednesday, August 29 2018. This case started when the victim found out his wife had another man.
“The victim Yones Fernando Siahaan knew that his wife, namely the defendant Ardilla Rahayu Pongoh aloas Dila, had a relationship with another man,” the public prosecutor’s indictment stated. detikSulsel dSIPP PN Sorong on Tuesday (27/6/2023).
The defendant who was caught having an affair allegedly summoned his uncle, Andi Abdullah, as well as a number of other men to kill the victim in his house. The victim was killed by his wife when he was just leaving the toilet at home.
The victim was killed by three unknown men and Ardilla’s uncle by beating the victim until he choked her.
“That all the actions committed by the defendants Ardilla and Andi Abdullah as well as 3 other people whose identities were unknown were actually seen by the child of the defendant Ardilla, the child of the witness Elgibbor Hasiholan Siahaan, from behind the curtains of his room,” said the prosecutor.
In this case, Ardilla is said to play the role of the person who planned the murder. Meanwhile, his uncle and three unknown people became the executors of the murder.
