Pedreño met the local board of the Cancer Society in Jumilla

The executive secretary for health of the People’s Party of the Region of Murcia and health minister of the regional government, Juan José Pedreño, visited Jumilla accompanied by the general coordinator of his party, Rebeca Pérez, and the popular spokesman, Seve González.
The purpose of the visit was to meet the local board of the Spanish Cancer Association and hold a working meeting.
In his appearance before the media, Pedreño underlined the fact that the Region of Murcia will already be the first autonomy to extend the range of breast cancer screening to women between 45 and 74 years old, which will benefit 280,000 women each year, in addition to review research work, as well as therapies and physical activity programs for cancer patients.
He recalled that the regional government’s goal “is to continue to improve and promote the health area of the Altiplano, in which 140 million euros are invested and whose workforce has increased by 20 percent since the beginning of the pandemic, and has once again reiterated the need for the government of Pedro Sánchez to implement a plan of urgent measures to solve the generalized problem of the shortage of doctors throughout Spain”.
