Early-morning incident at 7th and P Streets, Northwest
Washington, D.C. – In a tragic incident in the early morning hours on Sunday, seven people were shot, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving five others wounded. The shooting took place at the intersection of 7th and P Streets, Northwest, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
The MPD promptly responded to reports of the shooting at approximately 3 a.m. Local law enforcement discovered two men with gunshot wounds who unfortunately succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Additionally, four victims were found with injuries and were immediately transported to local hospitals. Furthermore, another injured victim arrived at a local hospital independently seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

MPD executive assistant chief, Jeffrey Carroll, emphasized the importance of any information, stating, “We’re asking anyone who may have any information related to this incident or may have witnessed it to contact the Metropolitan Police Department.”
