Motorola: Moto E and Moto G Fast for small budgets

After the high-end represented by the all-new Edge +, Motorola continues to target users on tighter budgets. The manufacturer unveiled the Moto E and Moto G Fast.

In recent years, Motorola has looked after its range of entry and mid-range smartphones, even if the manufacturer regularly seeks to show itself in its finery with exceptional models (the Edge + and the new Razr with its folding screen). So it’s no surprise to see two new devices under $ 200.

Motorola in force on the entry level

The Moto G Fast has a 6.4 inch screen (1.560 x 720), a Snapdragon 665 chip, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage (with a microSD card slot up to 512 GB), a battery of 4.000 mAh, fast charging 10 watts. The screen, which incorporates a perforation at the top left, is pretty nicely integrated into the facade, with rounded corners. But the border at the bottom remains quite impressive…

At the rear is a block with three photo sensors: a 16-megapixel main module, a 2-megapixel macro and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle. Everything works on Android 10 with an overlay (light as usual with Motorola). Launch scheduled for June 12 in the United States, priced at $ 200.

New Moto E incorporates the design of the Moto G Fast, except for the “water drop” notch which replaces the perforation. The smartphone offers a 6.2 inch screen (1.520 x 720), and it works with a Snapdragon 632, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a battery of 3.550 mAh. On the back there is a system with two cameras: the main module is 13 megapixels, the second is a depth sensor of 2 megapixels.

Like its big brother, the Moto E will be marketed from June 12 in the United States, at the floor price of $ 150.
