An 83-year-old woman from Den Bosch was seriously injured yesterday afternoon after an 84-year-old woman drove over her several times with a car. The driver was panicked, police said.
The 83-year-old walked with her walker behind a parked car, which just then backed away. The victim ended up under the car.
The motorist then ran over the woman one or two more times in a panic. Then the car came to a stop. The victim was taken to a hospital. According to Broadcasting Brabant that she had suffered a few fractures and was injured in her head.
The driver was picked up by bystanders and rescuers. Her driver’s license was confiscated. The Public Prosecution Service is investigating whether further steps will be taken.
