After the knife attack in a hotel in Glasgow, Scotland with six injuries, the motive of the perpetrator remains unclear. The investigation continued, the police said on Twitter. On Friday, a man at the Park Inn hotel in the city center injured six people and was subsequently shot by the police. The authorities are still not assuming a terrorist attack.
The “Daily Mail” and the “Telegraph” had reported that the perpetrator was said to be an asylum seeker from Sudan. He had previously threatened refugees with violence and complained of great hunger in the hotel. The police initially made no details of the perpetrator and his nationality.
The injured are 17 to 53 years old. They all came to the hospital, including a police officer. The condition of the 42-year-old is stable, according to official information. Asylum seekers were accommodated in the hotel during the corona pandemic.
