Mother waited 11 months for Microsoft’s response to a FIFA scam

Computer scams have different objectives, some rightly steal someone’s bank details to dry their accounts and generate debts on those affected, which often do not end well, for different reasons.

Others unscrupulous instead, do it curiously to get game coins, as in Fortnite, League Of Legends or FIFAThere have been many records of these actions, but on several occasions those affected end up not following the accusations by legal means, due to the costs and the time it takes.

However, the case of Lesley Urwin, mother of 3 children in Elgin, Scotland, who was battling for 11 months against Microsoft to get an answer about the situation that afflicted her.

According to the medium Daily Record, on March 22, Urwin received an email from a $ 313 USD ticket charged to your credit card through the platform Xbox One, for the game FIFA 19, equivalent to 36,000 FIFA Points.

One upon encountering this surprise could deduce that the minors who lived with their mother would have made such a transaction, however, after finding out the situation with their bank and with Microsoft, it was discovered that the transactions would have been made to 643 kilometers away, in Warrington, England, so we would be in case of a scam.

Before this Lesley, tried to Microsoft and his bank Tesco Bank, they returned the money after verifying that it had not had to do with those collections, however, the battle was not easy at all, since both entities kept it for 11 months circling.

I lost count of how many times I called and wrote to Microsoft. My children have not had Xbox for almost a year as a result because I have not allowed them to access their accounts. I’m tired of fighting and I want to warn others. None of this is our fault.

Luckily, this case was managed by the media system that received the news, and reported that a few days ago Lesley Urwin I could have obtained a full refund for the scam committed.
