Moscoso Puello Hospital receives mammogram from the SNS


Santo Domingo.- The Dr. Francisco Moscoso Puello hospital received this Friday from the National Health Service, a mammogram that will allow diagnostic images of patients to be obtained.

The delivery was made by the executive director of the SNS, Mario Lama, who highlighted the importance of the digital mammogram, valued at 5 million 613 thousand pesos.

“You know that breast cancer is the most common in women and if it is detected early, our patients may have a survival of more than five years or be cured,” said Lama.

Mario Lama was accompanied by the director of Hospital Centers of the SNS, Dr. Yocasta Lara, he was received by a commission headed by the hospital administrator, Mr. José Candelario, who, on behalf of the management, expressed the deepest gratitude for this valuable input.

“It was urgent and necessary to have this equipment in the hospital, we value the effort made by the health authorities in favor of the users,” said the lawyer.

The person in charge of Images of Moscoso Puello, Dr. José Castillo, and the coordinator of the Consultation Area, Dr. Giselle Arias, were present at the delivery, who highlighted the benefits of the mammogram for the patient, since health professionals may have at the hands of this important diagnostic tool.

The director of the center, Dr. Emmanuel Silverio, valued the efforts made by the SNS and the First Lady of the Republic, Raquel Arbaje, in equipping hospitals, an action so important for the health of citizens, affirmed that this mammography allows a timely patient care combined with quality treatment, humanized and free of charge.

Meanwhile, the director of the National Health Service urged the collaborators to make good use of this and all the equipment of the health center to continue guaranteeing dignified care to the population.
