In Berlin, the number of new infections with the corona virus has increased again. On Thursday, the health administration registered 1,569 new cases, the previous day there were 1306. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of infected people has risen to 103,646. Exactly 84,517 people are considered to have recovered, which was 1,272 more than the previous day.
The situation remains tense when the intensive care beds are occupied by Covid patients. The occupancy rate was 34.6 percent (previous day 35.2 percent). The Senate’s corona traffic light continues to point to red. The limit of 25 percent has been exceeded for weeks.

The so-called seven-day incidence in Berlin is currently 139.6. Here, too, the Berlin traffic light continues to point to red. The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have been infected in the past seven days. The incidence was highest in the Spandau district at 182.3.
