Official documents reveal that at the time of the incident, actor Alex Boldvin aimed a gun at the camera, which led to the death of cinematographer Halina Hachins.
The deadly woman was 42-year-old Halin Hachins, who worked as a photography director. Meanwhile, the film’s director, the injured man – Joel Souza (48).

The testimony, which features news from Joel Souz and video cameraman Reed Russell, is a guest of greater clarity about what then really happened on the set.
Court documents state that actor Boldvin was given a weapon and said it was unloaded. Souza was behind Hachins at the time of the shot.

Jerzyukov points out that with “airsoft” weapons it is not possible to create a light effect that occurs at the moment when the bullet is fired, so it must be done after assembly, and it requires a lot of financial resources.
Souza pointed out that the actor was on a bench in a church building and trained to pull a weapon out of his holster when he heard a whiplash that was followed by an explosion.

Souza’s weak remember how Hachinsa complained of abdominal pain and a grip on the middle of her body. He also said that Hachins had begun to resign and was deposited on the ground, the statement said.
Operator Russell, who was next to Hachins at the time of the shot, told law enforcement she had not felt her legs.
Asked about the actor’s treatment of firearms so far, Russell said Boldvin was very careful and always made sure that none of the children in the film crew were around when the gun was fired.
On Friday, October 22, officials reported that assistant director Dave Hall, when handing over the weapon, informed the actor that it was “cold” or unloaded, thus saying it was safe to use.

Props maker and licensed pyrotechnician Megija Gola told AP that Hal had not followed safety protocols and continued filming after the chief pyrotechnician lost consciousness.

Jerzyukov points out that the most significant mistake in this situation is that the weapon was not placed on the fuse, because it is understood that the accident occurred during the attempt. She explains that before handing a weapon in the hands of an actor, its operation is always explained and the actor is allowed to try shots with it in an area where there are no people.
According to the latest information provided by lawyers, such an accident is almost impossible if all safety rules are followed.
