MotoGP was initially worried about the fate of the race this season without Marc Marquez (who is injured), but now the race is really very exciting even without the defending world champion.

Spielberg, runganSport – The start of the 2020 MotoGP season immediately fell apart when the world was shocked by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Class MotoGP failed to hold the opening series in Qatar, four months later in Spain.

But this year’s race is completely different, with no spectators on the circuit, the number of crews is limited, including engineers and other important people, as well as the circuit staff.

All racers must wear a mask, also with all their team members, no one can go around and do unnecessary activities.

While fans can only enjoy the race from the television screen, the schedule is very busy because it accumulates at the end of the season.

Within a month there are three consecutive races, some of which are held on the same circuit.

The logistics movement of MotoGP has also become very difficult, there are many rules in each country that must be obeyed, causing the race to shrink to 14 series for the main class and 15 series for Moto2 and Moto3.

Everything takes place in countries in Europe, moving groups from one circuit to another must comply with health protocols, very strict and far different from traveling in previous years.

Some of the good things are that the team crew can focus on doing their job behind the closed doors of the circuit, the riders can freely walk the paddock and the hotel without having to be chased by fans.

Everything is very, very different from the previous year, but the only thing that remains the same is the race.

The racing is still fun and even more so intensive rather than past seasons.

Initially there was concern from the organizers with the fate of MotoGP, because this year Valentino Rossi can no longer shine because of age and Marc Marquez was seriously injured.

But who would have thought, racing would be much more interesting without the defending world champion, MotoGP commentators even forgot that Marquez was absent.

Because every race in the first four series is as exciting as the last Malaysia 2015 series; full of surprises and drama.

“It’s really intense, looks like every race is Sepang 2015,” the word one of the MotoGP commentators, Steve Day in the published article Motorsport Magazine.

“I really thought Marquez’s absence would affect a lot of things, but 100 percent wouldn’t.

Not that it was disrespectful to the man, because he was a genius, but so much had happened that I hardly noticed he wasn’t out there. ” continued Day explained how exciting this season is going.

In line with his colleagues, other MotoGP commentators, Matt Birt also have a similar view of this strange and crazy season.

“There are only four races, but there are 40 important racing points worth talking about, that’s crazy !.

A lot of fans are worried about what will happen when Rossi leaves and Marquez leaves, but with Marquez not here and Rossi’s condition over the last few years, we’ve got the answer, the race (still) is amazing, ” light Birt gave an explanation according to his view.

“One thing I have realized in this period is that no matter how different MotoGP is off the track it is still exactly the same on the track.

When you watch football now, it’s a completely different sport, it’s not so fast, because the players don’t react to the crowd. ” he explained give an overview.

MotoGP has so far hosted successful ghost-format races in Spain, Andalusia, Czech and Austria, and this weekend the schedule continues at the Styria MotoGP.
