The days of the communities had their final outcome on Sunday, April 02, 2023 at the place of the nation of Banfora. During the closing ceremony, troops from different communities competed with enthusiasm and talent during their performances on the podium.
Through these days, the justice and peace commission through the diocesan coordination of Banfora intends to consolidate peace and social cohesion in rural areas. During this closing, panels were held. The High Commissioner of Comoé Hamidou Massa, one of the speakers, did not cut corners to invite the communities to sensitize their members.
Some communities present at this closing ceremony fully appreciate the initiative, like the person in charge of nationals from the South West. “It’s the third edition, but we don’t feel the crowds. We do with it, it’s ok! It’s a moment that allows us to rub shoulders and live together,” according to Toho Pascal Hien.
Same story on the side of the boss of the Gourounsi community, Pema Bayala. “We didn’t have our account in it. As it is the day of joking relatives, we were looking for Bissa we got the Bissa. We mobilized a lot and I would like to say thank you to the organizers. But we did not feel a strong presence of the communities of the Cascades region. I want to talk about the community Senufo, dyke and karaboro. It’s a regret,” he laments.
At the end of the ceremony, the Bishop of Banfora, Mgr Lucas Kalfa Sanon, invited the different communities to sow the spirit of living together and peace.
Appointment is made for next year for the fourth edition.
