Florence, 11 October 2020 – I.n Tuscany there are 18,160 cases of positivity at Coronavirus, 517 more than yesterday (350 identified in the course of tracing and 167 from screening activities). New cases are 2.9% more than the previous day’s total. THE healed grow by 0.1% and reach 10,844 (59.7% of total cases). I tampons trades reached 839,508, 11,394 more than yesterday. 8,150 subjects tested (excluding control swabs), of which 6.3% were positive. The currently positive are today 6,142, + 8.9% compared to yesterday. THE hospitalized there are 217 (27 more than yesterday), of which 31 in intensive care (one more). Unfortunately, today there is a new death: a 76-year-old woman.
The average age of the 517 cases today it is about 44 years old (16% are under the age of 20, 30% between 20 and 39, 30% between 40 and 59, 15% between 60 and 79, 9% are 80 or older).

The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the variation compared to yesterday: There are 5,136 total cases to date a Florence (138 more than yesterday), 1,224 a Meadow (47 more), 1,250 BC Pistoia (47 more), 1,641 BC Pulp (16 more), 2,194 a Lucca (53 more), 2,218 a Pisa (82 more), 915 a Livorno (23 more), 1,540 ad Arezzo (78 more), 815 a Siena (24 more), 677 a Grosseto (9 more). There are 550 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions.
There are therefore 232 cases found today in the Central Local Health Authority, 174 in the North West, 111 in the South East.
Tuscany is confirmed in 10th place in Italy in terms of number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with about 487 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average about 579 x100,000, yesterday’s figure). The provinces of notification with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 842 cases x100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 566, Pisa with 529, the lowest Livorno with 273.
The quarantene
Overall, 5,925 people are in isolation at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care, or are symptom-free (475 more than yesterday, plus 8.7%).
There are 12,891 (457 more than yesterday, plus 3.7%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people (ASL Centro 4.513, North West 5,295, South East 3,083).
There are 217 people hospitalized in beds dedicated to COVID patients today (27 more than yesterday, plus 14.2%), 31 in intensive care (1 more than yesterday, plus 3.3%).
There are 10,844 people healed overall (14 more than yesterday, plus 0.1%): 368 clinically healed people (2 less than yesterday, minus 0.5%), that is, who became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with infection and 10,476 (16 more than yesterday, plus 0.2%) declared healed in all respects, the so-called viral healings, with double negative swab.
Unfortunately, today there is a new death: a 76-year-old woman residing in the province of Grosseto.
1,174 have died since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 423 in Florence, 54 in Prato, 84 in Pistoia, 181 in Massa Carrara, 149 in Lucca, 97 in Pisa, 65 in Livorno, 53 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena, 26 in Grosseto, 9 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
The Tuscan raw mortality rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 31.5 x100.000 residents against 59.9 x100.000 of the Italian average (11th region). As for the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (92.9 x100.000), Florence (41.8 x100.000) and Lucca (38.4 x100.000), the lowest in Grosseto (11.7 x100.000).
