A Council of Ministers, which should give pride of place to the general orientations of the amending finance bill, should be chaired on Monday, June 29 by King Mohammed VI.
–According to sources cited by Telquel, it is the first council of ministers chaired by the sovereign since the vote on the state of health emergency last March following the coronavirus pandemic.
The councils of ministers are quite rare in Morocco, the last going back to the end of last year, during which two bills had been voted as well as two international conventions, specifies the same source.
Note that the council was scheduled a few weeks ago but King Mohammed VI underwent “successfully” a surgical operation following “a recurrence of the heart rhythm disorder type atrial flutter on healthy heart”.
It could also, according to certain sources, that the sovereign express his dissatisfaction following the affair of the two PJD ministers pinned for not having declared their employees to the CNSS (social security).
