At least two minors were sexually assaulted by police officers after the protests in León, Guanajuato, precisely because of the case of a young woman who reported being a victim of sexual violence on August 14, by municipal agents.
One of the 22 young women detained after participating in the demonstration – all of them were released at dawn, without charges, according to Amnesty International Mexico -, She said that when they put her on the patrol someone lifted her skirt and “put his hand in me.”
The 17-year-old showed off her socks and ripped clothes.
She said that they hit her on the head and handcuffed her. “Inside the patrol … (an agent) pulled my hair all the way, punched me in the nose, on the head,” the young woman denounced, as heard in a recording broadcast by the Children’s Rights Network .
Given the pain she felt, when the young woman asked if she had blood on her face, the agent told her “That she was not crying, that if she had the balls to show me that she had them to receive the blows.”

“It is a very serious situation, precisely because not only were the arbitrary arrests, there were also attacks on journalists who were documenting the demonstration, there were beatings, threats, a journalist was beaten in the stomach, this criminalization of the protest is extremely serious”, Villalobos said, demanding as president of Amnesty that there be an investigation of this case of police abuse and justice be done.
Here you see how cops from @Security_Leon they kick a woman to the ground. Then you see a truck full of colleagues who only demanded #JusticiaParaEvelyn.
