A “very disturbing” incident, according to the police. As they crossed a motorway bridge, he advanced his truck into the middle of the crowd. According to a witness interviewed on the local channel KSTP, demonstrators who came by bicycle threw their bicycles under his vehicle in an attempt to stop him.
“He looked upset, he honked and continued to walk,” the young man told AFP, who only gave his first name, Kyle. Very quickly, dozens of police vehicles arrived with screaming sirens and pushed the demonstrators back off the bridge.
