Rains may cause river levels to rise

As a result of rain on Wednesday and Thursday night, there will be increases in river levels in most of the basins. The Ministry of Environment and Water warns about this.
There will be a more significant rise in water levels in the Danube basin. On November 9 during the day and on November 10, river levels in the basin will begin to drop. On November 11, again as a result of precipitation, there will be new short-term increases in river levels in the basin, mainly in the mountainous parts of the basin.
In the evening hours today and on the night of November 9, there will be increases in river levels in the Black Sea basin. As a result of runoff, there will be rises in the lower reaches of the main rivers. As a result of rainfall, in the afternoon and evening hours of November 11, new short-term increases in the river levels in the basin are possible, the Ministry of Education and Culture also points out.
In the Eastern White Sea Basin, there will be more significant increases in the Rilo-Rhodope and Staroplanin tributaries of the Maritsa River and in the Arda River watershed.
In the West White Sea Basin, the excesses will be more significant in the upper parts of the Struma River catchment. River levels will drop over the next two days, and as a result of runoff on the first day, there will be increases in river levels in the lower reaches of the main rivers. From the evening hours of November 10 and 11, there will be new, short-term increases in river levels in the basin, the Ministry of Education and Culture says.
The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology indicated that the rains from the northwest will stop during the night. Sunny weather will prevail on Friday, with some fog in the plains and valleys before midday. Gradually from the west-southwest the clouds will increase and thicken and by midnight there will be rain in the western areas.
