Minister Slob sends letter to group 8 students: ‘School year was very special’ | Inland

The letter, which was dated Monday June 29, already fell on many doors on Saturday. Slob writes that the last year of primary school is always special, “but this year was very special, don’t you think?” He also considers home education and the cancellation of the final test.

But Slob also writes that students have learned something different this year than in a normal school year. “The coronavirus has taught you something about illness and health, perhaps about freedom, or about how well we want to take care of each other in the Netherlands,” the minister writes. “It is worth remembering.”

Heart warming

The letter is shared on social media by parents who say they appreciate the writing and call it heartwarming. A mother also writes that her boys reacted nicely, but then said: “What should we do with this?”
