Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia opened his voice regarding the news of Wings Group and Djarum leaving the IKN Investor Consortium. Previously, the names Wings Group and Djarum were not listed in the IKN Nusantara Consortium in the 2023 IKN Investment Kaleidoscope document.
In fact, in the data submitted by the IKN Authority in September 2023, the names Wings Group and Djarum were included in the 10 Nusantara Consortium companies. The complete list includes Agung Sedayu Group, Salim Group, Sinarmas, Pulauintan, Djarum, Wings Group, Adaro, Barito Pacific, Mulia Group and Astra Group.
Well, according to Bahlil Wings and Djarum, they are not one of the companies that are part of the Nusantara Consortium led by the Agung Sedayu Group.
“Gini, Wings and Djarum are not a consortium run by Agung Sedayu, but he will invest after the first phase is completed,” said Bahlil at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (9/1/2024).
Bahlil admitted that he was one of the parties handling investments by the Agung Sedayu Group and others. So far, as far as he knows, Wings and Djarum are not part of the IKN Consortium.
“I was surprised too (hearing the news about Wings and Djarum), right?handle I’m one of those investing in Agung Sedayu, so just go for it. “Progress is also progressing,” said Bahlil.
“As far as I know, there are no them in the consortium,” he continued.
Regarding the fate of Wings and Djarum, so far Bahlil said that the two companies will continue to invest in IKN. However, this was done after the first phase of construction was completed.
“Yes (still investing in the next stage of development), at that time it was in discussion, yes, because at the Ministry of Investment I would talk about what has been implemented, if it is still going to be potential,” said Bahlil.
