Al-Marsad Newspaper: Minister of Education Youssef Al-Bunyan issued a decision linking all education departments in the governorates with the general departments of education in the regions of the Kingdom, instead of their previous association with the ministry directly.
The decision included that the general administrations of education in the governorates of Jeddah, Taif, and Al-Ahsa continue to be administratively affiliated with the ministry, provided that this does not prejudice the provision of each of them to the general administration of education in the region within the scope of each of them with the necessary requirements for the regions’ emirates and the region council, according to Royal Order No. (A/92) and its implementing regulations. .
The decision also included that the Director General of Education in the region supervise all education departments in the governorates in his region, and he has the authority, as a matter of competence, to sign decisions assigning education directors in education departments in the governorates related to him after the approval of the minister who meet the approved conditions and controls, and in accordance with the rules and regulations to be directed All correspondences from the education departments in the governorates to the education departments in the regions.
And if the matter requires reporting something to the Ministry, then it is through the education departments in the regions and the general departments of education in the governorates.
