Colombian professional soccer is getting ready to restart its normal activities starting next September 15 if there are no last minute logistical problems. While all that happens, the different clubs train in their respective venues to refine physical and football details.
In the midst of all this it was known of an unusual penalty tournament that will take place in Bogotá and Cali with the two most representative clubs in the city and whose objective is to ‘warm up’ for the restart of the Betplay League in Colombia.

The idea arose on the basis that now you cannot play friendly matches by order of the Ministry of Sport, but they will carry out training sessions, so the clubs will travel to the training venues of their rivals with the proper sanitary protocols to play a penalty tournament that will be attended by Santa Fe, Millonarios, América and Deportivo Cali.
The stipulated dates They are August 22 for the classic between Santa Fe and Millonarios and August 29 for the city derby between América and Deportivo Cali. There are still no clear rules on this initiative, but it was known that it will have the ESPN broadcast and that there would be a contest for a fan to participate in the event. In addition, the women’s teams will also participate in the same days.
