Mrs. Milagros Suárez, 71 years old, who was in the apartment in Terrazas de San Diego, where a deflagration was registered on Tuesday, August 11, died this Wednesday morning.
The lady was in intensive care at the Hospital City “Dr. Enrique Tejera ”(CHET) in critical condition, due to burns in 40% of her body, said rescuer Jacobo Vidarte, commissioner of the San Diego Mayor’s Office for risk analysis and adverse events.
Vidarte highlighted the serious damage registered in Suarez’s apartment in Terrazas de San Diego, an event in which a 26-year-old also suffered 20% burns on his body.
The expert pointed out that they are still deployed, conducting investigations to determine the causes of the incident that claimed the life of Milagros Suarez.
“They have already made photographic fixations, collection, measurements, which allow them to draw conclusions,” he said.
He assured that the procedure could be extended for a couple of more days.
