Mikaël Kingsbury again world mogul champion | Olympic Games

This is his third individual title and his fifth with parallel events.

On the track at Shymbulak resort, which he admits to not considering as his favorite, the skier always seemed in control.

He made his last descent with ease, putting on a double twist and an off-center triple twist. Kingsbury was visibly happy at the end of the race.

He finished the final with a score of 87.36, almost 5 points ahead of Frenchman Benjamin Cavet (82.43). Kazakh Pavel Kolmakov (82.23) completed the podium.

Kingsbury returned to competition just a month ago after recovering from fractures to his T4 and T5 vertebrae in December. He had also won both events in Deer Valley.

Quebecer Laurent Dumais finished 6th in the event. At the Deer Valley World Championships in 2019, he landed 24th in singles. Last December, he finished 10th at Idre Fjäll’s World Cup.
