Last Tuesday, English told the UN Security Council it was “very likely” Iran used one or more drones to carry out the tanker attack that killed two of its crew members, a Briton and a Romanian.

“There is a lot of conflicting information. The analysis is ‘very likely’, which we completely reject. We need to establish the facts… we don’t need to rush to any conclusions or actions without having evidence of what happened,” the deputy said. On Sunday the United States and Britain said they would work closely with their allies to respond to the attack.
