Microsoft has released scheduled updates for Windows 10

Today, on the second Tuesday of the month, all supported builds of Windows 10 traditionally received updates. Currently, all versions of Windows 10 are supported, with the exception of 1511. The latest versions of the operating system, numbered 1903 and 1909, received the same update KB4549951, with build numbers 18362.778 and 18363.778, respectively.

The update improves security when using Microsoft Office products, the overall security of the operating system when performing basic operations, and also improves file storage and management capabilities. In addition, the update solves a problem that prevents the installation of certain applications if they are published using the GPO, and also fixes security issues found in previous versions.

Windows 10 1809 users received update KB4549949 with build number 17763.1158. It brings the same changes, but it found a problem due to which the devices on which some Asian languages are installed may throw an error “0x800f0982 – PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND“. The problem is fixed by manually reinstalling the language packs.
