Michelin Stars 2020: Full List

Spain brings 214 restaurants to the Michelin firmament

The names of the restaurants that will be part of the Michelin Guide 2020 are already known and, consequently, the number of stars that will be part of this prestigious culinary constellation in Spain and Portugal.

The national cuisine is in good health and this was shown this Wednesday at the presentation gala of the gala publication in Seville. By 2020, there will be 214 restaurants that will wear ‘macarons’ compared to 206 in the last edition.

As a novelty, The Arbor of Amos (Villaverde de Pontones, Cantabria) by chef Jesús Sánchez becomes part of the select group of restaurants with 3 Michelin stars, which in 2020 will have 11 restaurants. An exclusive list that does not change in number with respect to that of 2019, since Dani García’s restaurant leaves the sky, who has decided to close his namesake restaurant to change course.

Regarding the 2-star category, the list for Spain is made up of 29 restaurants, of which five have a new category. Thus, the number of two-star establishments increases compared to the previous edition, when 25 were registered.

By last, A total of 174 restaurants in the national territory will have a ‘macaron’, increasing the figure for 2019, where there were 170.

For its part, a total of 163 venues will wear stars in Portugal in 2020. Of these, seven will have two awards and 20 with one. No Portuguese restaurant achieves the highest distinction this year.
