The Michelin Guide New York 2021 has just announced its winning restaurants. With a star, Rezdora, by Stefano Secchi; Tsukimi, in the East Village; Jua, from Hoyoung Kim; Don Angie, in Greenwich Village; Kochi, in Hell’s Kitchen; Chef Shaun Hergatt’s Vestry and the Franco-Italian Brooklyn hangout of Francie, John Winterman and Christopher Cippollone.
New entrants in the one-star category include Rezdora, Stefano Secchi’s popular Italian restaurant; Tsukimi, a kaiseki local from the East Village; Jua, Hoyoung Kim’s modern Korean tasting menu; Don Angie, the whimsical Italian-American local from Greenwich Village; Kochi, a Korean skewer restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen; Vestry, chef Shaun Hergatt’s Soho seafood hangout, and the Franco-Italian Brooklyn hangout of Francie, John Winterman, and Christopher Cippollone.
On the other hand, there has been no need to regret any brightness since the stars awarded in previous years are maintained. This is how they keep the three stars: Eleven Madison Park, Le Bernardin, Per Se, Masa and Chef’s Table. Among the second stars, Blue Hill at Stone Barns received the first Michelin “green star” award. In relation to the Bib Gourmand, they were for local Thai Diner, Winner, Bolero or Xilonen, among others.
This year, Michelin debuted with a sommelier award, which went to Miguel de Leon from Pinch Chinese, a Bib winner, and a young chef award, which went to two-star Jungsik’s Suyoung Park.
